The surgeon's secretary just called to let me know what my dates are. I'll be going in on April 10th for a pre-op appointment. I also have an ortho appointment earlier that same morning. Then I have an appointment on the 27th, just 2 days before my surgery. She didn't explain what we are doing at these appointments. I guess I'll find out.
She also set up my post-op appointments, which will be May 8th and May 22nd. She spoke so quickly, I hope I wrote them down right! They always seem to be in such a hurry.
P.S. I'm actually feeling a little nervous. Ugh.

*Hugs* You'll be fine. I was nervous to the point of feeling sick right up until a few days ago, and now I am just fed up of being nervous so want to get it over with! :)
I don't know whether the pattern of appointments is the same as for me, but pre-op is to make sure you're well and take some bloods etc, with an ortho appointment to check everything is in place, fit the hooks and tighten everything together so that final measurements are taken. I am having an appointment Friday before surgery on Wednesday to fit the mould they make to guide the jaws into the right place during surgery (built from the final measurements and casts the ortho takes). Post-op is so they don't just leave you to cope for weeks and are healing nicely I presume!!
Of course, seeing as I'm in the UK, that could all be rubbish and not the order your docs do anything at all, just what happened to me :)
I have less than three weeks to go, and things still haven't hit me yet. I'm not sure why, though. The surgeon is giving me a physical this Monday, which will be the date where *for sure* I get the green light. I guess I'm waiting until then before I get gleefully giddy!
