I thought I had a funky bite before, but now it's really funky. My bottom teeth are way more forward than my top teeth. It's starting to feel totally weird when I eat. The doc said it's going to get worse before it gets better and he was right. If I weren't so lazy, I would post a picture of my own teeth, but for now this cartoon will have to do. That's kind of how my teeth are. I wonder how much worse they are going to get before I am ready for surgery. (I've had my braces on 7 months now. Time is flying)

The braces will be off in no time! Miss you, hope you're enjoying your week of freedom!
THAT sure looks familiar! Gottta laugh about the docs saying how the bite will get worse and at the time, thinking it could hardly be possible ~surprise! It really does go through some weird changes, eh?
I know what you mean by the frustrations of braces. A little tweak here and another one there. I remember going into each ortho appointment hoping they would say my teeth were ready for surgery. Funny how I was hoping for that and now I just pray my jaw will be healed and back to "normal" soon.
p.s. I like your page design
Hi there! I just had my jaw surgery and went through the exact same thing! My bite became much worst before the surgery. Are you seeing the surgeons at Kaiser Sunset? That's where I had my surgery done. Dr. Relle wasn't my doctor, but I remember seeing his name in the office.
Yeah, my bite keeps getting worse and worse, also.... it sure makes eating a new challenge every day!
I feel ya :)
It sure is flying! Surgery date should be coming up soon, eh?
hi aimee its been ages. can't beleive its been seven months, that's how long i have had mine too. that means we are seven months closer to better looking teeth...
Isn't it frustrating sometimes? Any idea when the surgery will be? I just got my July 7th surgery date confirmed. That will be three days shy of 1 year in braces.
Hi Aimee! My surgeon is Dr. Schwartz. I had upper and lower jaw surgery to correct asymmetry in both jaws and to move the lower jaw back. Similar to what you're describing here, my bite got a whole lot worst before the surgery. I had a major under bite and open bite right before the surgery, the gap was so big that I couldn't even eat a sandwich... are you almost ready for surgery?
yep, my teeth are doing the same thing; can't have spaghetti anymore, since I can't cut through it with my front teeth. It's quite ridiculous really.
Hi Aimee, my progress is inline with you. 7 months and the teeth which were on top of each other now has a 3mm gap. I suppose it reminds me that the problem ws really there and its good that it is getting corrected. Will try to post some photos soon.
