And yes, new grads can work for 90 days with a GN license in some states-depends on the board of nursing. If they fail the NCLEX, they lose their job! :(

yes i guess its considered being "wired shut".
my OS said they dont use wiring shut literally anymore because they use the plates and screws to secure the bite after surgery... *shrugs :(

Just to comment on prisca's comment...at our facility if you fail the NCLEX you get bumped down to a CNA until you finally pass. I'm not sure how many tries they allow you before you're terminated, but hopefully I won't have to worry about that. :-/
