Surgery Date!!! April 29th!

I got a call from the surgeon's office yesterday saying there was a cancellation and would I like to have my surgery April 29th. That would be a YES. Yes, I certainly would like to have my surgery then. Two months away. I'm so excited. And nervous. I'm going to start reading some blogs (again) and getting things together that I will need. I have a much-needed cleaning appointment on March 5th. Maybe I will get a cleaning one more time before the surgery also. Thanks for all the positive comments on my blog. :) I don't always write back, but I appreciate it!

My surgeon's diagnoses of my jaws are: Asymmetry of mandible and congenital maxillary hypoplasia

Hey Aimee,
I got your message about sinus issues on my blog. Actually upper jaw surgery can make sinus issues worse...can make changes that adversely affect them. I had to have sinus surgery on my right side 6 months after surgery due to issues cause from my SARPE and upper jaw surgery. Wish I could tell you that the jaw surgery fixed things but it actually made it worse.....with that being said the sinus surgery really helped. I had 3 infections after my jaw was done..back to back. Had the sinus surgery and haven't had one since...and March 5th was exactly one year! Good luck with your surgery! You will no regret it!

Yes Aimee,
It's an ENT that does the sinus surgery. It was worth it though for the results, and not really that bad what I had done. The just opened up one of my airways and trimmed my turbinates down. Has made a huge difference!

Congrats on your surgery date!

I don't have a blog but had the same surgeries you're having 3 weeks ago (yes, class III, upper and lower jaw surgery... screws/plates upper only). Good luck with everything!! In case you have any questions, my email is toromc@hotmail.com.
